Job Description
Perform cable inspection activities on wire harnesses and cable assemblies in a high-mix aerospace and defense manufacturing environment. Support 1st shift production operations by inspecting, verifying, and identifying non-conformances in accordance with IPC-WHMA-A-620 standards, engineering drawings, and customer specifications.

- 4/10-1st Shift (Mon–Thurs 5:00 AM–3:30 PM, OT on weekends)
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- $19.00 - $28.00 Hourly
- Education & Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 1-2 years of work-related experience
- Strong background in cable manufacturing and inspection
- Experience with soldered and crimp inspection on cables using IPC-A-620 standards
- Detail-oriented and proficient at interpreting drawings, diagrams, parts lists, IPC manuals, and work instructions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Work effectively in a team environment and interface with assemblers, test technicians, engineers, customers, and management
- Proficient with Personal Computers and newer applications
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Take and pass a medical screening exam as outlined in the supplier guideWorking knowledge of computer operations
- Possess the following technical skills: basic computer skills, blueprint reading, IPC-WHMAA-A-620, visual inspections, and wire harness print reading
- Preferred Skills
- Strong background in cable inspection and manufacturing processes
- Experience performing soldered and crimp inspections on cable assemblies
- Proficiency with personal computers and standard software applications
- Experience working in team-based manufacturing environments with engineers, technicians, and assemblers
- Job Duties & Functions
- Inspect cables using predetermined methods, operations, and specifications
- Use various measuring devices, such as dial indicators, preset micrometers, and scales
- Accept, reject, or rework defective or malfunctioning units or systems
- Work from blueprints, diagrams, customer specifications, and inspection instructions
- Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures
- Communicate effectively with assemblers, engineers, and management to resolve quality issues
- Perform assembly tasks related to assigned inspection areas as needed
- Physical Requirements & Environment
- Work onsite full-time in a manufacturing environment
- Stand, sit, bend, and perform repetitive inspection tasks for extended periods
- Use microscopes, measuring tools, and inspection equipment as required
- Maintain ESD and manufacturing safety compliance requirements
