Job Description
Plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains solutions for the integration and testing of in-house developed and COTS/GOTS components, elements, subsystems, and systems. Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions while establishing functional and technical specifications, resolving hardware/software interface problems, and supporting system integration. Develops and executes comprehensive test plans, analyzes test results, prepares evaluation reports, documents discrepancies, and performs integration regression testing to verify and validate software, component, subsystem, and system fixes.

- Education & Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- 5+ years of experience using Microsoft Office products to generate status reports, project plans, and work instructions
- 5+ years of experience writing, editing, and supporting an existing software code base using LabVIEW
- 3+ years of experience writing, editing, and supporting an existing software code base using TestStand software
- 3+ years of experience analyzing and resolving problems
- Experience managing and prioritizing a workload consisting of several tasks simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience effectively working on teams
- Ability to work with minimal detailed direction to deliver desired results
- Experience working with and leading teams toward milestone completion
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
- Preferred Skills
- 9+ years of professional-level career experience
- Proven success implementing appropriate methods to measure electrical parameters typically required for components and subassemblies
- 5+ years of experience as a subject matter expert in Radio Frequency or Microwave systems and subsystems
- 3+ years of experience developing multiple complex test programs with TestStand development environments
- Proven track record researching and specifying components for test equipment design
- Proven ability troubleshooting measurement issues and isolating problems down to the test instrument, fixturing, software level, or unit under test
- Proficiency generating assembly and block diagram sketches, parts lists, and other types of engineering documentation
- Proficiency in Corrective/Preventative Action process and implementation
- Solid background deriving test requirements from design or system-level requirements
- Ability to identify and author required documentation to correct drawing-to-actual-hardware discrepancies
- Proven collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Effective relationship building across multiple organizations and disciplines
- Experience preparing charts and giving presentations outlining technical issues, solutions, or trade studies

- Test integrated components, subsystems, and systems according to established requirements and procedures
- Document integration and testing activities, results, discrepancies, and system-level evaluations
- Maintain solutions supporting the integration and testing of components, elements, subsystems, and systems
- Synthesize customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions
- Establish functional and technical specifications and standards
- Resolve hardware/software interface problems
- Define input/output parameters for system and subsystem testing
- Ensure integration of the entire system or subsystem
- Review requirements and evaluate them for testability
- Develop comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for complete systems and subsystems
- Direct preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules
- Coordinate subsystem and system testing activities with programs and other organizations
- Analyze test results to evaluate and verify system performance
- Prepare comprehensive subsystem and system-level evaluation reports
- Write discrepancy reports
- Perform integration regression testing to verify and validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems, and systems
