Job Description
Perform design, analysis, and testing of Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) systems for precision electro-optical systems. Develop and document system-level requirements, GNC designs, mathematical tools, and analysis techniques while supporting requirements traceability, simulation, design reviews, and regulatory compliance.

- Education & Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a directly related field
- 9+ years of related work experience
- Guidance, Navigation, and Control engineering experience
- Classical Control Theory experience
- Experience with a higher-level programming language such as C, MATLAB, Python, or similar
- Simulation and modeling experience
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
- Preferred Skills
- Advanced degree in a related field or coursework in Advanced Control Systems
- Hardware implementation experience
- Experience implementing algorithms in a real-time system
- Experience with Speedgoat
- Job Duties & Functions
- Gather, define, and document Guidance, Navigation, and Control mission requirements while maintaining traceability and quality from system level to component level
- Resolve requirement conflicts and investigate actions necessary to improve requirements definition and flow-down
- Perform and document analysis and design of Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) systems
- Validate models against test data to improve simulation environment accuracy
- Apply advanced analysis methods to assess and refine control law designs
- Develop solutions and disposition issues to support customer satisfaction
- Design trade studies that address program requirements
- Collaborate across systems engineering, software, and hardware disciplines
- Implement COTS solutions when appropriate
- Author and maintain engineering documentation for consistency and delivery
- Develop GNC and mathematical tools and techniques and support technology roadmaps
- Analyze test data and document results
- Present compliance findings to regulatory agencies and support certification basis negotiations in alignment with project goals, simulation, and design reviews
- Train and coach other engineers
- Guide experienced engineers in the performance of GNC designs
- Work under minimal direction
- Physical Requirements & Environment
- Fully onsite in Albuquerque, NM
- Less than 10% domestic travel
