Job Description
Perform quality and safety inspections supporting rotorcraft maintenance, repair, and alteration activities while ensuring compliance with applicable FAA regulations and company quality standards. Support return-to-service inspections, maintain required documentation, and verify aircraft airworthiness through accurate inspection and recordkeeping. Coordinate with maintenance personnel to promote safety, quality, and regulatory compliance throughout all phases of maintenance operations.

- Education & Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 10+ years of experience evaluating and applying aviation-related quality principles, methods, and practices
- Maintain a valid A&P License held for at least 3 years
- Obtain or hold an Inspection Authorization (IA) within 90–180 days unless otherwise exempt
- Demonstrate 7+ years of experience applying aircraft maintenance, repair, and alteration principles with civilian rotorcraft experience preferred
- Apply FAA regulations governing return-to-service maintenance and alterations using approved technical data
- Maintain working knowledge of aircraft maintenance and inspection procedures, including weight and balance, major repairs and alterations, FAA Form 337, and field approvals
- Operate Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
- Preferred Skills
- 10+ years of experience applying aircraft maintenance, repair, and alteration principles
- Civilian rotorcraft maintenance experience
- Rotary-wing experience interpreting FAA regulations and technical data
- Ability to obtain a passport and visa for occasional travel

- Job Duties & Functions
- Inspect aircraft to verify safe operating condition before return to service
- Evaluate maintenance activities for compliance with applicable FAA regulations and company procedures
- Verify alteration requirements using approved blueprints, drawings, specifications, and technical data
- Operate diagnostic and precision measuring equipment during inspections
- Communicate inspection findings promptly to maintenance personnel, management, and customers
- Train and mentor technicians while promoting quality and safety standards
- Maintain aircraft maintenance records, inspection documentation, and traceability records
- Update paper-based status sheets and electronic MRO systems
- Review calibration records for precision measuring equipment and test apparatus
- Ensure maintenance environments comply with established safety requirements
- Promote continuous compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements
- Support the company's reputation for quality and safety with regulatory agencies and customers
- Physical Requirements & Environment
- Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl throughout the workday
- Occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Work in aircraft maintenance environments while performing floor inspections
