Job Description

Perform stress analysis on new designs of primary and secondary airframe structures and update existing analyses to incorporate design changes. Support structural analysis activities involving aerospace structures, subsystems, installations, metallic and composite structures, and interpretation of detail, assembly, and installation drawings and models.

    • Education & Job Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent technical education and experience
    • 16+ years of experience for BS Level 4 classification or 14+ years of experience with a Master's degree for Level 4 classification
    • Recent Level 4 experience with airframe primary structure layout and sizing
    • Proficiency in hand/Excel-based analysis of aerospace structures
    • Demonstrated experience with NASTRAN and PATRAN, HyperMesh, or Abaqus
    • Working knowledge of CATIA V5
    • Capability to interpret detail, assembly, and installation type drawings and models
    • Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
    • Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
    • Preferred Skills
    • Experience analyzing stress for subsystems and subsystem installations
    • Background in MRB stress analysis of metallic and composite structures
    • Advanced proficiency with Abaqus
    • Experience utilizing TMP Vision for post-processing
    • Expertise with CATIA V5/3DX
    • Familiarity with UNIX/LINUX operating systems
    • Working knowledge of Slim, Vision, and IDAT
    • Exposure to 3DX is a plus
    • Job Duties & Functions
    • Perform stress analysis on new designs of primary and secondary airframe structure
    • Update existing analyses to incorporate design changes
    • Investigate stress analysis requirements for subsystems and subsystem installations
    • Conduct MRB stress analysis of metallic and composite structures
    • Interpret detail, assembly, and installation type drawings and models
    • Apply hand and Excel-based methods to analyze aerospace structures
    • Utilize NASTRAN, PATRAN, HyperMesh, or Abaqus for structural analysis
    • Support analysis activities associated with airframe primary structure layout and sizing
    • Physical Requirements & Environment
    • Work onsite full time in Fort Worth, TX
