Job Description
Develop, support, and implement equipment and tooling solutions used in aerospace manufacturing while working directly with production teams. Perform engineering activities including equipment design support, tooling development, vendor coordination, documentation, and production floor support to improve safety, quality, and manufacturing efficiency. Collaborate with mechanics, tool makers, safety personnel, and engineering teams to ensure equipment meets operational and regulatory requirements.

- Education & Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a directly related field
- 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with Siemens PLC, Wiring and Cabling, Electric Motors and Encoders, Drive Terrain/Steer Systems
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
- Preferred Skills
- 2+ years of experience working in a production environment
- 2+ years of Project Management experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Pressure Vessel Design Engineer
- Working knowledge and application of ASME Section VIII and related ASME/ANSI Codes
- Strong knowledge and application of NBIC Codes Parts 1, 2, 3, and 4
- Experience applying ASME B31.1 and/or ASME B31.3 piping codes
- Strong understanding of pressure vessel fabrication processes and maintenance procedures
- Strong understanding of material mechanics and behavior under extreme temperatures and vibration
- Experience with non-destructive examination methods, including magnetic particle examination and ultrasonic testing
- Knowledge of welding procedures and testing requirements
- Experience applying thermodynamics and fluid mechanics principles
- Hands-on experience designing autoclaves for composite curing processes
- Experience designing quick actuating closures or breech lock door mechanisms
- 5+ years of experience working in a production environment
- 5+ years of experience with 3D modeling
- 5+ years of experience with GD&T
- Job Duties & Functions
- Investigate and develop equipment and tooling concepts and specifications
- Support tooling fabrication and production through tool liaison activities
- Participate in design reviews and collect engineering requirements
- Create and revise engineering drawings and models supporting production build plans
- Develop equipment specifications and purchase requests for external vendors
- Verify designs comply with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic, and regulatory requirements
- Develop equipment and tooling inspection procedures, usage instructions, and preventive maintenance plans
- Support development of user training documentation
- Manage project budgets and schedules for equipment and tooling solutions
- Work directly with production personnel, mechanics, safety teams, and tool makers
- Wear required personal protective equipment while supporting production
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance
- Physical Requirements & Environment
- Stand and walk on the production floor for up to 8 hours
- Climb ladders and stairs to access equipment
- Work at heights and in confined or tight spaces
