Job Description
Support the design, development, integration, and verification of complex spacecraft systems across the lifecycle by coordinating system performance requirements, technical parameters, physical and functional interfaces, system architecture, and requirements traceability. Perform system-level analyses and technical trades while supporting engineering reviews, requirements compliance, technical issue resolution, and program activities. Assist with systems engineering activities across space segment, Assembly, Integration and Test (AI&T), launch site, and mission operations functions.

- Education & Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- Experience with systems engineering fundamentals and product lifecycle events, including SRR, PDR, CDR, and TRR
- System Engineering
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
- Preferred Skills
- Experience in satellite system design, development, or test
- Work with customers, program offices, and interdisciplinary teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
- Job Duties & Functions
- Collaborate across subsystems within the space segment to plan, design, develop, and verify complex spacecraft systems throughout the lifecycle
- Evaluate customer and operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements and integrate technical parameters
- Assure compatibility of physical, functional, and program interfaces
- Perform analyses to optimize total systems and system architectures
- Identify unassigned scope and coordinate appropriate distribution
- Participate in identifying and resolving cross-functional technical issues
- Lead or participate in system and segment-level technical, cost, and schedule trades
- Support space segment-level activities such as Risk, Issue and Opportunity Boards and Engineering Review Boards
- Integrate statements of work and technical specifications into IPT workflows to support contractual compliance
- Develop requirements and model-based systems engineering infrastructures using tools such as DOORS and CAMEO
- Lead efforts to allocate and derive performance and functional requirements and trace their flow-down to lower levels
- Forecast and track requirements compliance activities to support customer reporting obligations
- Participate in generating responses to Engineering Change Proposals from customers
- Plan and execute space systems engineering events, including Segment Requirement Reviews, Preliminary Design Reviews, Critical Design Reviews, and developmental gates
- Apply Boeing command media to ensure engineering events satisfy entrance and exit criteria
- Represent space systems engineering during events led by other IPTs, including Manufacturing and Test Readiness Reviews
- Support evolving program roles throughout the lifecycle, including AI&T, launch site, and mission operations activities
- Support test engineering or oversight activities to track and resolve Non-Conformance Reports
