Job Description
The Aircraft Machinist B operates CNC milling machines to manufacture and repair precision tooling and components in support of aircraft maintenance operations. This role involves interpreting technical drawings, setting up tooling, monitoring machining processes, and ensuring product quality through inspections and troubleshooting. The machinist collaborates with engineering and production teams to optimize manufacturing efficiency while maintaining safety and compliance standards. Strong CNC experience and attention to detail are critical to success in this role.

- Education & Job Requirements
- Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g., High School Diploma or GED equivalent) and typically 1 or more years of related work experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., vocational school/Associate’s degree).
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Machinist.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience operating CNC machines, including milling and turning.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in G-code programming and CNC controls.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Strong computing and communication skills.
- Ability to work a variable shift (1st or 2nd).
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.

- Set up and operate CNC milling machines.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Select and install appropriate tooling and fixtures.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment.
- Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize processes.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Document production data and maintain accurate records.

- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination when working with small parts.
