Job Description
Develop and lead enterprise-level manufacturing strategies that improve production efficiency, product quality, and manufacturing scalability for complex aerospace programs. Provide technical leadership across manufacturing process development, production readiness, tooling, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing operations while ensuring compliance with engineering and production requirements.

- Education & Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Data Science, or Computer Science
- 12+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of technical education and related experience
- Advanced Manufacturing Engineering experience
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
- Preferred Skills
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- 15+ years of progressive manufacturing engineering experience in aerospace, defense, or other complex high-reliability manufacturing environments
- Experience with process qualification, lean manufacturing, automation, robotics, and digital manufacturing tools
- Experience leading projects and programs, including schedule, budget, and stakeholder management
- Experience with CREO, CATIA, MES, DELMIA, FlexSim, ProModel, or equivalent manufacturing engineering tools
- Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution System Common Image (MESci)
- Familiarity with Model-Based Definition (MBD) and Model-Based Enterprise (MBE) practices
- Experience leading supplier integration, qualification, and production transfers
- Experience mentoring engineers and reviewing engineering work products
- Lean, Six Sigma, Systems Engineering, Project Management Professional (PMP), or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification or training
- Job Duties & Functions
- Provide technical leadership for manufacturing process development, qualification, and sustainment across multiple programs
- Define and implement manufacturing strategies that improve throughput, reduce cost, and enhance product quality
- Lead production readiness planning, risk identification, mitigation activities, and readiness metric development
- Develop business cases for tooling, automation, workstations, and capital equipment investments
- Establish standardized manufacturing processes, best practices, and production controls
- Lead complex root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Integrate manufacturing requirements into product design and program reviews
- Mentor engineering teams and review manufacturing documentation, installation plans, and engineering deliverables
- Utilize data analytics, simulation, and model-based methods to validate manufacturing processes and support capacity planning
- Coordinate with design engineering, quality, supply chain, production, industrial engineering, and external partners to meet program objectives
