Job Description
Performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and aircraft systems using manual and automated assembly tools. Assembles, inspects, documents, and reworks electro-mechanical products while supporting the manufacturing of space flight subsystems and related support equipment.

- Education & Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 4+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., vocational school, Associate's degree with 2+ years of related work experience, Bachelor's degree, etc.)
- 3+ years of experience reading blueprints, working with manufacturing plans, and reviewing instructions for aerospace manufacturing processes
- Experience working in the aerospace industry
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
- Preferred Skills
- 3+ years of experience in electronics, electro-mechanical, and printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies
- 3+ years of experience performing electro-mechanical assembly on high-reliability products
- 3+ years of experience working with ESD, IPC J-STD-001, and IPC-A-610 standards
- 3+ years of experience with soldering
- 5+ years of experience building component-level space products including avionics boxes, batteries, mechanisms, optics, printed circuit board assemblies, and solar arrays
- 3+ years of experience using hand tools, test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes, and shears
- 3+ years of experience working in a Clean Room environment
- 3+ years of experience working in a manufacturing or assembly environment
- Current IPC J-STD-001 and/or IPC-A-610 certification
- 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Office and office computing systems
- Job Duties & Functions
- Perform electro-mechanical assembly of PCB assemblies into product chassis.
- Assemble electro-mechanical products by interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, written assembly instructions, and standard operating procedures.
- Utilize precision calibrated tools including torque wrenches, micrometers, and calipers.
- Inspect electro-mechanical assemblies to engineering drawings, specifications, and written assembly, integration, and test procedures.
- Verify product quality and conformance to specifications.
- Document non-conformances and associated rework or repair activities.
- Complete soldering and rework of through-hole and SMT components.
- Support conformal coating, masking, epoxy application, and coating processes.
- Perform complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, aircraft systems, equipment, and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools.
- Physical Requirements & Environment
- Capable of lifting 20 pounds or more on a frequent basis
- Ability to stand and move, including reaching, bending, and stooping, to handle products for extended periods with only short breaks
- Work onsite full time
