- The Role
- We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Interiors Crew Chief to lead and oversee a team of interior mechanics in the maintenance, modification, and refurbishment of aircraft interiors. In this role, you will manage day-to-day operations of interior work on assigned aircraft, ensuring all work is carried out efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with aviation industry standards. As a Crew Chief, you will be responsible for the performance, training, and development of your team, ensuring that high-quality work is consistently delivered to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
- Qualifications and Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must have an A&P License. (required)
- A minimum of 3 years of recent supervisory experience. (required)
- A minimum of 3 years of recent experience inheavy commercial maintenance.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Tools required.
- Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Evaluate departmental operations, recommending improvements in quality, productivity, and employee relations.
- Implement programs and/or procedures that strive for excellence in quality as maintained by the San Antonio Aerospace Quality Assurance program.
- Resolve departmental problems by identifying the problem, researching alternatives, analyzing the costs and benefits, implementing the best alternative, and evaluating the results.
- Accomplish any other assignments as directed by the Interiors Manager.
- Assist their subordinates in proper procedures, methods, and practices for each duty.
- Monitor the status of each aircraft in service daily.
- Prepare daily priority worksheets in concurrence with the Interiors Manager.
- Ascertain that the responsible mechanic properly executes all necessary work.
- Be responsible for properly handling all parts while in the repair process and preserving all units or parts during the process through the shop and after work is completed.
