- Role Summary
- In this role, you will provide engineering and technical writing support for aircraft programs, focusing on the development of affordable and supportable systems for military applications. You will ensure that all maintenance and structures-related information is clearly documented, accurate, and compliant with industry and military standards. This position plays a key role in integrating supportability into the design process and optimizing the customer’s military support system.
- Education & Job Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Must have a minimum of three years of experience in aviation structures or maintenance.
- Must have experience in military or aviation logistics environments.
- Must have strong analytical abilities and proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be compliant with all company processes, procedures, and applicable government regulations.
- Preferred Skills
- You will have experience in developing or maintaining military technical publications such as IETMs, IPBs, RPSTLs, and MIL-STD documentation.
- You will have a background in support system analysis areas such as LORA, RCM, FMECA, provisioning, maintenance planning, and support equipment documentation.
- You will have the ability to coordinate within integrated product teams (IPTs) and contribute to cost and schedule objectives.
- You will have strong organizational and documentation skills to support program reviews and data preparation.
- Job Duties / Functions
- You will be analyzing and coordinating technical data to support maintenance and structures documentation.
- You will be developing and updating manuals and support materials, including interactive and paper-based technical manuals.
- You will be conducting reliability, failure mode, and repair analysis to ensure optimal aircraft supportability.
- You will be collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate maintenance and logistics considerations into design processes.
- You will be preparing data presentations and supporting program reviews as required.
- You will be performing work to established metrics to ensure adherence to cost, schedule, and quality goals.
