Job Description
Lead the verification of structural integrity for aerospace systems using analytical methods, finite element models, and simulations throughout the product lifecycle. Develop and integrate structural requirements, test plans, and certification documentation to ensure systems meet design and regulatory standards. Investigate in-service product issues, recommend improvements, and develop analytical processes to enhance quality and efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams while working under minimal direction.

- Education & Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry, or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
- 10 years of relevant structural analysis experience.
- 8 years of experience analyzing primary structure, subsystems, or weapons in the Aerospace Industry.
- Experience performing hand calculations, using industry CAD systems (PRO-E, SOLIDWORKS, AUTOCAD, NX/Teamcenter, CATIA/ENOVIA), FEM software (PATRAN/NASTRAN, Stresscheck, Hyperworks, Abaqus), and MS Office.
- Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor's) and typically 9 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., PhD+4 years related work experience, Master+7 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is preferred, although not required.

- Experience with Boeing analysis tools, including CAESAR, Lifeworks, Mechanica, and Common Structures Workstation.
- Job Duties & Functions
- Lead development, integration, and documentation of structural requirements to establish system design.
- Coordinate with other engineering groups to define the product environment.
- Guide product design and verify structural integrity using analytical methods, finite element models, and simulations.
- Develop test plans and configurations, support test execution, and analyze/report results to validate systems and components.
- Define and document certification and test results for customers and regulatory agencies.
- Investigate in-service failures and recommend improvements.
- Develop analytical tools and processes to enhance quality, effectiveness, and efficiency.
- Work under minimal direction while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
