Job Description

Aircraft Avionics Technician performs inspections, troubleshooting, installation, repair, and modification of aircraft avionics systems to ensure safe and efficient operation of customer aircraft. This role supports aviation maintenance operations by interpreting technical manuals and schematics, documenting work performed, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and safety standards, utilizing avionics test equipment, and coordinating with personnel to resolve discrepancies while maintaining airworthiness.

    • Pay Rate: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour
    • Education & Job Requirements
    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
    • A&P License required.
    • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on avionics experience on business jets or turbine aircraft.
    • Experience working in an FAA Part 145 Repair Station environment.
    • Familiarity with Dassault Falcon aircraft (Falcon 50/900/2000/7X/8X as applicable).
    • Must be 18 years of age or older.
    • Authorization to work in the United States.
    • Valid driver’s license.
    • Ability to pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and participate in random testing as required.
    • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
    • Own personal set of tools required.

    • Preferred Skills
    • Prior military experience.
    • FCC license.
    • One year of mechanical experience outside of educational experience.
    • One year of aircraft maintenance experience outside of educational experience.
    • One year of heavy jet maintenance experience outside of educational experience.
    • Job Duties & Functions
    • Perform all work activities in accordance with FAA regulations, standards, safety protocols, and procedures.
    • Inspect aircraft or aircraft electrical components for damage, defects, corrosion, or wear to ensure airworthiness.
    • Recommend replacement, repair, or modification of aircraft equipment based on inspection findings.
    • Report issues, malfunctions, unusual wear, or damage to appropriate personnel.
    • Install, remove, or modify aircraft electrical components following drawings, schematics, charts, engineering orders, and technical publications.
    • Inspect completed work to certify that maintenance adheres to standards and procedures.
    • Interpret discrepancy logs to troubleshoot issues and identify required next steps.
    • Research, read, and interpret technical manuals and guidelines to perform inspections, installations, and repairs.
    • Review maintenance records to determine if service, maintenance checks, repairs, and overhauls were performed at prescribed intervals.
    • Use computers and technology to enter, document, access, and communicate information.
    • Perform line maintenance, heavy maintenance, and avionics installations and modifications.
    • Utilize avionics test equipment such as multimeters, ramp testers, and pitot-static test equipment.
    • Apply basic understanding of digital and analog electronics.
    • Assist other maintenance disciplines, including avionics, structures, and composites, as required.
