Job Description

Develop, integrate, and document structural requirements to establish system design. Coordinate with other engineering groups to define the product environment. Guide product design and verify structural integrity using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations, and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop structural environment characteristics and performance. Develop test plans and configurations, support test execution, and analyze and report test results to validate that systems and components meet requirements and specifications. Define and document certification and test results to substantiate compliance for customers and regulatory agencies. Support in-service products by investigating failures and recommending improvements.

    • Education & Job Requirements
    • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with a focus in Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Materials Sciences
    • A minimum of 5 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
    • Experience performing hand calculations
    • Experience using industry CAD systems (NX/Teamcenter preferred)
    • Experience using FEM software (PATRAN/NASTRAN preferred)
    • US Citizen or permanent resident
    • Preferred Skills
    • Experience supporting certification and regulatory compliance documentation
    • Experience supporting test execution and validation activities
    • Job Duties & Functions
    • Develop and document structural requirements to support system design
    • Coordinate with cross-functional engineering teams to establish the product environment
    • Perform structural analysis using analytical methods and finite element modeling tools
    • Develop structural test plans and support test execution
    • Analyze and report test results to validate compliance with requirements
    • Support investigation of in-service product failures and recommend improvements
    • Document certification results for regulatory and customer compliance
