- Role Summary
- In this role, you will test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify developmental and production mechanical, electronic, and fiber optic components, parts, equipment, and systems. You will work with engineers to perform setup, calibration, rework, and quality testing for parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. You will utilize test equipment and software to collect and evaluate operational data and perform online adjustments, contributing to the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.
- Education & Job Requirements
- Must have a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience, or a minimum of 2 years post-secondary/Associates Degree with 0–2 years of prior related experience.
- Must have a willingness to travel on occasion.
- Job Duties / Functions
- You will be conducting functional and continuity tests of electrical and optical assemblies, components, and harnesses using ohmmeters, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment.
- You will be recommending changes to test procedures and specifications to improve the performance and functional testing of production or prototype components.
- You will be setting up standard test apparatus or devising test equipment and circuitry to conduct functional, operational, environmental, and life tests per test procedures.
- You will be assisting engineers in troubleshooting failed production or prototype components.
- You will be collaborating with Mechanical and Electronics Engineers as needed to support project tasks.
- You will be following product test procedures, equipment operation guidelines, and safety practices as documented in the company’s quality system manual.
- You will be promoting cordial relationships with customers, suppliers, co-workers, industry and professional associations, government agencies, and the local community.
