    • JOB SUMMARY
    • Manage aviation procurement purchasing duties with preliminary responsibilities include, but not limited to coordinating all purchase items, services, materials, tools, equipment and/or supplies as requested and in supportof all product lines of business within the organization.
    • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
    • Prepare and place Purchase Orders
    • Contact suppliers for market, cost, and cycle time analysis
    • Follow through with suppliers to expedite delivery and shipments
    • Present capabilities for both Domestic and International procurement
    • Research existing options for Product and Tools for flexibilities
    • Review catalogs, periodicals, directories, trade journals and internet to locate necessary goods
    • Prepare daily Status reports for every product’s Material and Purchased parts
    • Proceed procurement of materials, parts, consumable items, and supplies
    • Analyze market and industry conditions, material costs to develop supply recommendations
    • Purchase commodities and services to meet specialized or complex needs
    • Make tools’ purchase vs. lease decisions in accordance with Company procedures & regulations
    • Analyze purchase requisitions and review for accuracy and completion
    • Follow proper channels to obtain purchase authorization according to PM & SCM requirements
    • Place orders to procure requisitioned items or services
    • Solve problems with orders in an efficient and timely manner
    • Determine best practices per cost, time, quality, capabilities, contracts, and partnership
    • Utilize ILS or similar tools for the needed cost analysis
    • Other duties as assigned
    • 0 direct reports. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
    • EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Education – High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • Purchasing Experience – 3 to 5 years purchasing, and supply chain (warehouse, shipping, receiving, and logistics) experience required
    • Prior military experience a plus
    • Industry Related Experience - Aerospace/Airline/Aviation/FAA Compliance experience a plus.
    • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record required. Must successfully obtain a Driver badge through the Southern California Logistics Airport.
    • Familiarity with QS, FAR compliance and procedures, and other regulations is a plus
    • Solid knowledge of data analysis, inventory management, and forecasting techniques
    • Supports pricing for proposal activities including new vendors for specific procurement efforts
    • Provides due diligence and vetting activities for new and existing vendors
    • Assist in vender base expansion locally and globally
    • Assist in reaching Just-in-Time, Point-of-Use, and vending machine optimization processes
    • OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Competencies) the individual must possess:
    • Computer Skills – Must have a strong working knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Corridor Go or other Maintenance or ERP systems experience a plus.
    • Language & Communication Skills– Excellent written and verbal communication (English). Fluency in a second language, particularly Spanish, is a plus.
