    • Job Details:This Supervisor will maintain the electrical design and/or development to satisfy current and future requirements. Will manage, direct, and evaluate the work of assigned personnel. Will implement designs into productions. Will develop and implement continuous improvements. This position will be responsible for the activities related to implementing the project for Battery Electic Vehicles(BEV), a phase 3 initiative of BEV production.
    • This position is looking for electrical engineers with interest in supporting design development for product and electrical systems and architecture.
    • Duties involve interface with Product Planning, Marketing & Sales, and Management to evaluate customer requirements and definition of vehicle level targets, as well as engineering assistance, problem resolution, training and other engineering duties supporting various aspects of heavy truck production.
    • Scope of work includes working on sustaining design projects, new development programs, research proposals for potentially new product designs and employing innovation skills to mature ideas for concept development, and the design of specific parts and systems in assigned phases of projects, applying standard engineering techniques with degree of super vision varying with experience.
    • Coordinate with Product Planning, Manufacturing of Parts to align major program book of wishes and identify all customer requirements which cascade into design requirements.
    • Coordinate Vehicle Property Owners (VPO) to set project vehicle performance targets.
    • Provide timely definition of design requirements by completing major program Product
    • Description Books, establishing project scope, vehicle requirements and performance targets.
    • Apply knowledge of electrical systems and components to design and implementation of truck systems and components.
    • Coordinates and completes projects and design efforts with other engineering groups and departments within the Company.
    • Assigns, approves, performs or delegates design modifications as appropriate.
    • Job Functions:
    • Take concepts from design to production implementation.
    • Prepare engineering activity status reports and other detailed reporting as directed.
    • Demonstrate ability to handle multiple tasks.
    • Demonstrate professional and successful communication skills (verbal/written) with strong, effective interpersonal abilities.
    • Must be able to identify, prioritize, and coordinate resolution of production, production control, and quality assurance issues as appropriate by directing the work activities of assigned staff.
    • Requires a proactive approach to defining issues and reaching early resolution and consensus.
    • Travel required.
    • Education Requirements:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is required
    • Minimum: 3-5 years Experience
    • Preferred skills:
    • Supervisory or managerial experience is required.
    • Professional Engineering License preferred.
    • Thorough knowledge and experience with Mentor Graphics preferred.
    • Experience creating bills of materials for the introduction of new designs is required.
    • Experience coordinating prototyping of parts required.
    • Experience specifying testing and evaluation of results required.
    • Experience coordinating with and/or:-Directing supplier activities required-Directing production pilot activities required.
