Systems Engineer

Job Description

Supports the F15 Program by developing, documenting, implementing, and ensuring compliance with engineering tools, processes, standards, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include providing consultation, training, and assistance with engineering processes and tools; supporting engineering design integration; coordinating configuration changes; assessing compliance; managing product standards; and maintaining engineering documentation and performance metrics. The position works under general direction and requires successful completion of OJT or formal classroom training.

• Education & Job Requirements
• Bachelors degree, typically in an applicable discipline, with 6+ years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Troubleshooting skills and Linux and Windows experience
  
  

• Job Duties & Functions
• Develop, document, and implement requirements for the use of engineering tools, processes, and standards
• Provide consultation on the application of engineering tools, processes, and standards while ensuring compliance
• Train and assist users in the utilization of engineering processes and tools
• Support the integration of engineering designs
• Ensure regulatory requirements are met
• Identify and validate user access roles
• Produce tip sheets and understand system interoperability
• Provide configuration management and coordinate changes
• Perform compliance assessments and manage the implementation of product standards across company business units and programs
• Represent company interests on external standards committees
• Develop, adapt, and adopt external standards for internal use
• Develop, maintain, and distribute engineering documents, reports, and correspondence to enable business activity
• Collect, analyze, and validate engineering performance metrics
• Coordinate organizational requirements to support business needs
