Job Description

Perform aircraft structural maintenance, inspections, repairs, and servicing of aircraft components. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and rebuilding structural and functional components, conducting metallic and composite inspections and repairs, interpreting OEM and DoD maintenance documentation, and completing required repair records in accordance with company and customer requirements.

• Education & Job Requirements
• 2+ years of experience in aircraft structures with fabrication experience
• Thorough knowledge of all forms and documents required to support heavy maintenance service
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, instructions, blueprints, and drawings
• Proficiency in using tools, gauges, and instruments necessary to perform the job
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Must have own tools and transportation
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

• Job Duties & Functions
• Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and rebuild structural components and appliances, including wings and fuselage, as well as functional components such as rigging, surface controls, plumbing, and hydraulic units
• Read and interpret OEM and DoD Technical Manuals, service bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, local directives, and other specifications to determine maintenance methods and procedures
• Perform metallic and composite structural inspections for cracking, corrosion, delamination, and other damage according to OEM inspection criteria
• Perform metallic and composite structural repairs using OEM SRM, engineering drawings with DER approval, or other approved repair data
• Perform miscellaneous aircraft servicing duties, including changing and inspecting fuel and oil filters, cleaning screens, aircraft lubrication, wheel and tire maintenance, cleaning and inspecting wheels and bearings, and servicing onboard sanitation facilities
• Mix paint and apply touch-ups to aircraft and components
• Complete required repair documentation in accordance with company requirements, applicable Customer GMM, customer CAMP documents, or customer-supplied Flight Docs documents
