Electrical Engineer

Job Description

Will perform hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and programming of IRST production hardware while using product lifecycle management tools to document and control processes. Responsibilities include testing and debugging receiver, processor, IMU, and pod assemblies, retrieving engineering drawings, referencing manufacturing process plans, resolving production issues, coordinating handoffs with engineering and quality teams, maintaining configuration records, and supporting root-cause analysis and process improvements.

• Education & Job Requirements
• 3+ years of experience troubleshooting hardware, including testing, debugging, and programming IRST production weapon replaceable assemblies (WRAs) and related circuit-card assemblies
• 3+ years of experience using Windchill to retrieve drawings, reference manufacturing process plans (MPPs), and document each process step
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

• Job Duties & Functions
• Test, debug, and program IRST production WRAs, including receiver, processor, IMU, and pod assemblies, along with related circuit-card assemblies
• Use Windchill to retrieve drawings, reference manufacturing process plans, and document process steps
• Independently identify and resolve production issues while supporting weekend floor operations and delivery schedules
• Coordinate with day-shift engineers, suppliers, and quality personnel to communicate findings and corrective actions
• Update work instructions, non-conformance reports, and configuration data to maintain traceability
• Participate in root-cause analyses and recommend process improvements to improve yield and reliability
• Follow safety, security, and classified-information requirements while working on the production floor
