Job Description

Assist with disassembly, troubleshooting, repair, and testing of aerospace systems and components to correct failures or implement modifications. Support fabrication and modification activities according to specifications, perform assigned tasks involving the safe handling of aerospace vehicles, and work under supervision. Successful completion of required on-the-job or formal classroom training is a condition of the assignment.

• Contract - 6 Months
• 1st shift during training, followed by 2nd or 3rd shift. Listed 2nd shift hours: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM.

• Education & Job Requirements
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent basic education.
• At least 1 year of experience working with tools and following work instructions.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Willingness to work with beryllium and/or other chemicals as needed.

• Preferred Skills
• Experience inspecting parts, components, assemblies, or units.
• At least 1 year of experience soldering and assembling equipment components.
• Hands-on experience using handheld tools and/or power tools for at least 1 year.
• Ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings and specifications.
• At least 1 year of experience working under a microscope.

• Job Duties & Functions
• Assist with disassembly of system components to correct failures or implement changes.
• Support basic troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
• Perform validation and verification testing of systems and components.
• Fabricate and modify aerospace products in accordance with specifications.
• Assist with tasks involving the safe handling of aerospace vehicles, including jacking, towing, and system operations.
• Work under supervision while completing assigned repair and modification activities.
