Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description

Develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling. Analyze manufacturing data, equipment performance, and production processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality. Support manufacturing process optimization through digital work instructions, automation, statistical process control, and corrective action initiatives.

• Education & Job Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited college.
• 3+ years of experience driving root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• 5+ years of experience with electromechanical assemblies.
• 3+ years of experience with the PR/MRB process.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing and quality optimization in a production environment.
• Experience with manufacturing processes and production environments.
• Experience developing and documenting manufacturing processes.

• Preferred Skills
• PR/QMRB certification preferred.
• Experience with SAP, Apriso, and Windchill.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office for process development and documentation.
• Experience creating visual-based work instructions and providing feedback.
• Circuit card manufacturing experience.
• Cable and harness manufacturing experience.

• Job Duties & Functions
• Develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling.
• Drive adoption of new technologies and processes, including automation, robotics, and computer-aided manufacturing software, to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality.
• Create and analyze 3D-based model data environments to optimize manufacturing processes and digital work instructions.
• Apply knowledge of materials and automated processes to define operating procedures and build sequences that support operational excellence.
• Evaluate equipment and tool performance, including IoT devices, to verify efficiency and investigate and initiate corrective actions for problems and deficiencies.
• Use factory data to develop statistical process control approaches and integrate reporting and data analytics solutions for continuous improvement.
• Provide input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to optimize the use of equipment and manufacturing techniques.
