Job Description

Fabricate, assemble, fit, and finish complex aircraft cabinetry and wood-surfaced assemblies for VIP aircraft interiors. Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and material requirements to ensure precision, quality, and compliance with applicable engineering and regulatory requirements. Resolve fabrication challenges, coordinate with Engineering, Planning, and Production teams, and provide technical guidance to junior technicians.

    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
    • 5–7+ years of cabinetry or woodworking experience, preferably in aviation or high-end custom fabrication.
    • Advanced knowledge of cabinetry fabrication, assembly, and finishing techniques.
    • Strong proficiency in interpreting complex engineering drawings and specifications.
    • Demonstrated craftsmanship and attention to detail in precision fabrication and finishing.
    • Proficiency in problem-solving and troubleshooting fabrication issues involving materials, design, and assembly.
    • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Proficiency in providing mentorship and technical support to junior technicians.
    • Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
    • Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
    • Job Duties & Functions
    • Fabricate complex cabinetry components and assemblies for VIP aircraft interiors independently.
    • Interpret and apply detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and material requirements with a high level of accuracy.
    • Perform advanced fitting, alignment, and finishing work to meet high-end aesthetic and functional requirements.
    • Troubleshoot fabrication issues involving materials, design, and assembly, and resolve technical challenges.
    • Maintain first-time quality standards to minimize rework and production delays.
    • Complete required documentation in accordance with the company Repair Station Quality Manual (RSQM) and applicable regulatory requirements.
    • Coordinate with Engineering, Planning, and Production teams to resolve technical challenges.
    • Mentor and provide technical guidance to Technician I and Technician II team members.
    • Identify material and process needs proactively to maintain workflow.
    • Follow and promote all applicable safety standards and procedures.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.
    • Physical Requirements & Environment
    • Work in an aircraft hangar environment with potential exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions.
    • Operate heavy machinery and specialized tools as required for cabinetry fabrication and assembly.
    • Potentially encounter chemicals or hazardous materials.
    • Work in confined aircraft interior spaces.
    • Experience loud noise levels in the work environment.
