Business Process Analyst

Job Description

Analyzes business and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business information processing systems. The role defines business requirements and business cases for technology development while coordinating with business and technology teams to establish system requirements, functions, data acquisition, techniques, and controls.

• Education & Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field and 5-10 years of professional experience
• Demonstrated SAP/Hyperion experience
• Experience with systems/applications
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project and MS Visio
• Strong analytical skills, including processes associated with financial systems
• Advanced systems skills
• Ability to communicate efficiently across various functions and organizational levels
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals

• Preferred Skills
• Strong communication skills
• Process-improvement mindset with a lean-thinking approach
• Experience with SAP/Hyperion implementation and/or transition
• Familiarity with SAP
• Proficiency with Visio
• Working knowledge of computer programming and systems design

• Job Duties & Functions
• Analyze business and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business information processing systems
• Represent the business unit in defining requirements and business cases for technology developments
• Coordinate with business and technology teams to ascertain system requirements
• Define program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, system techniques, and controls
• Apply knowledge of e-commerce tools, computer system capabilities, business processes, and workflow
• Develop new and modified business information processing system requirements
