Job Description
Perform testing of electronic circuit card assemblies, RF circuits, and subassembly units using established methods, procedures, standards, and sequences. Assemble production electronic equipment according to designs and specifications, troubleshoot circuitry to the component level, and analyze test results to evaluate product and equipment performance. Support test procedure development, equipment modifications, product improvements, and manufacturing modifications as required.

- Education & Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent, or equivalent experience/combined education with additional specialized technical training equivalent to a technical Associate degree and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned technical/para-engineering tasks
- 1+ years of experience with testing electronic assemblies
- Proficient in component-level troubleshooting of solid-state and digital circuits
- Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Suite and other data collection programs to accurately document maintenance actions
- Experience with flying probe or In-Circuit Tester equipment
- Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting
- Skilled in troubleshooting electronic circuitry
- Experience with electronics circuit card troubleshooting and testing
- Basic computer skills
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
- Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with MIL-STD-167-1A (Vibration)
- Working knowledge of Radar Systems and RF circuit troubleshooting
- Experience with vibration and thermal ESS testing of circuit card assemblies and subassemblies
- Proficiency in Radio Frequency (RF) troubleshooting
- Knowledge of digital circuitry troubleshooting
- Experience operating Flying Probe equipment
- Military backshop experience repairing and troubleshooting circuit cards, subassemblies, or Line Replaceable Units (LRUs)
- Job Duties & Functions
- Set up test apparatus and conduct tests of electronic circuit card assemblies, RF circuits, and subassembly units according to established methods, procedures, standards, and sequences
- Lay out and assemble units for production electronic equipment in accordance with designs and specifications
- Adjust and calibrate electronic assembly systems as required
- Correct malfunctions by making adjustments or replacing parts or components as directed
- Use hand and small power tools along with various measuring and testing devices to perform assigned work
- Determine the types of tests to be performed on products and equipment
- Approve and suggest modifications to testing equipment
- Analyze test results to evaluate product and equipment performance
- Assist engineers with the design and development of test procedures for new products
- Recommend product improvements and manufacturing modifications
- Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures
- Troubleshoot electronic assemblies to the component level
- Utilize schematic diagrams to isolate failures on analog and digital circuitry
- Apply knowledge of solid-state devices and micro-circuitry to troubleshoot electronic assemblies
- Document maintenance actions accurately using Microsoft Suite and other data collection programs
- Produce work at a high level in support of customer schedules within a dynamic production environment
