PGS Design-Verfication Engineer

Job Description

Perform ASIC and FPGA development for an R&D program involving digital signal processing, high-speed digital design, high-speed communication, and system-on-chip implementations on FPGA platforms. Support design, simulation, verification, integration, and testing of complex high-speed products while collaborating across systems architecture, RF/analog and digital circuit design, and ASIC/FPGA engineering disciplines. Develop automation methods and scripts to improve FPGA development efforts and provide technical direction to junior engineers.

• Education & Job Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or Master's degree and typically 9+ years of work-related experience
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
• Experience with FPGA design tools including Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, and Synopsys Synplify
• Proficient in SystemVerilog
• Proficiency with HDL simulators, waveform viewers, and coverage tools
• Familiarity with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test setups and test equipment such as JTAG and logic analyzers
• Experience with version control systems and configuration management

• Perform ASIC and FPGA development for R&D programs
• Develop digital signal processing, high-speed digital design, high-speed communication, and system-on-chip implementations on FPGA platforms
• Integrate COTS-based control platforms and embedded processors on FPGA platforms
• Automate FPGA development efforts through more affordable development methods
• Create scripts to improve FPGA development efforts
• Collaborate with Systems Architects, RF/Analog and Digital Circuit designers, and ASIC/FPGA engineers
• Contribute to complex systems employing high-speed networking concepts
• Provide support and technical direction to junior engineers
• Execute design, simulation, verification, integration, and testing of complex high-speed products
