Software Engineer

Job Description

Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities involving the design, development, documentation, testing, and debugging of software containing logical and mathematical solutions to business or mission problems. Responsibilities include applying software development standards and processes, correcting program errors, preparing operating instructions, documenting program development, and analyzing system capabilities to resolve programming and system requirements.

• Education & Job Requirements
• 2 - 4 years of experience with ADA
• 2 - 4 years of experience with C++
• 2 - 4 years of experience with Embedded Software Development
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals

• Job Duties & Functions
• Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities
• Design, develop, document, test, and debug software containing logical and mathematical solutions to business or mission problems
• Apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the software development life cycle
• Leverage knowledge of computer hardware, software, subject matter, and information processing techniques to develop software
• Correct program errors
• Prepare operating instructions
• Compile documentation of program development
• Analyze system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls
• Ensure software standards are met
