Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Description

Develop, maintain, and audit quality standards, work instructions, and inspection procedures for machined parts. Perform technical evaluations of product requirements, specifications, drawings, and process documentation. Partner with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and customers to resolve quality issues and ensure compliance with applicable standards.

• Education & Job Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer in a machine-shop or precision-manufacturing environment
• Proven experience with precision measurement equipment including CMM, laser trackers, surface plates, and optical comparators
• Demonstrated experience with statistical process control (SPC)
• Familiarity with GD&T and ASME Y14.5
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
• Working knowledge of quality management systems including AS9100 and ISO-9001
• Experience with audit processes
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

• Preferred Skills
• Experience with advanced machining processes including CNC milling, turning, and EDM
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration
• Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and meet tight production schedules

• Lead failure investigations and material review board (MRB) actions
• Implement corrective preventive action (CAPA) activities
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve internal and supplier performance and productivity
