Electronics Technician

Job Description

Provide engineering hardware fabrication support, troubleshooting, testing, and basic laboratory operations. Fabricate electronic and electrical chassis and mechanical racks using development engineering drawings while supporting cable and harness assembly and rack integration activities.

• Education & Job Requirements
• Cable harness experience: 1 - 2 years of experience
• Rack assembly experience: 1 - 2 years of experience
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals

• Job Duties & Functions
• Provide engineering hardware fabrication support, troubleshooting, testing, and basic laboratory operations
• Fabricate electronic and electrical chassis and mechanical racks using development engineering drawings
• Evaluate, troubleshoot, and repair equipment
• Perform production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies, including cables and harnesses
• Apply cable and harness techniques including wire cutting, stripping, cable preparation and layup, connectorization, crimping, pinning, soldering, jacketing, braiding, molding, lacing tape, spot ties, and testing
• Work from schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions
• Operate related equipment and tools
• Conduct tests and report data in the prescribed format
• Utilize laboratory equipment
• Collaborate with the management team to correct and improve documents related to processes
• Build, route, and dress Cat5e/Cat6 cables in racks and test functionality
• Conduct in-process inspections on products in accordance with quality specifications
• Discuss technical issues with customers
• Work independently and with vendors
