Job Description
Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities involving logical and mathematical solutions to business and mission problems using computer languages and data processing equipment. Design, develop, document, test, and debug software while applying appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Apply knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter, information processing techniques, and information gathered from system users to develop software, correct program errors, prepare operating instructions, compile development documentation, analyze system capabilities, and ensure software standards are met.

- Education & Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 0 - 3 years of experience
- Experience with C++
- Proficiency with Git
- Working knowledge of Docker or Podman
- Demonstrated experience with Linux
- Hands-on experience with ROS (Robotics Operating System)
- Knowledge of computer hardware and software
- Capability to apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle
- Background developing software containing logical and mathematical solutions to business or mission problems
- Skilled in designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging software
- Ability to analyze system capabilities to resolve questions involving program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls
- Proven ability to correct program errors
- Experience preparing operating instructions and compiling documentation of program development
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
- Preferred Skills
- Experience with Windows
- Proficiency with Python
- Working knowledge of QT
- Familiarity with AI-Perception, LLMs, and tools such as TensorFlow and PyTorch
- Background in physics or simulation, including digital twin applications
- Knowledge of controls, including MATLAB and Closed-Loop Analysis
- Familiarity with CI/CD
- Experience with hardware I/O, including Serial, Ethernet, and Digital Interfaces

- Incorporate information gathered from system users into software development activities.
- Correct program errors and resolve questions concerning program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
- Prepare operating instructions for developed software.
- Analyze system capabilities to support resolution of software and program requirements.
- Ensure software development activities meet applicable software standards.
