Maintain and optimize Linux-based infrastructure for the Exploration Program, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers. Administer Red Hat OpenShift clusters by provisioning virtual machines and containerized workloads, managing operators, and overseeing security, patching, and upgrade cycles. Apply scripting, networking, and documentation skills to support reliable operation of mission-critical applications.

- Education & Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 6 - 10 years of experience or Master’s degree with 4 - 8 years of experience
- 4 - 6 years of experience with Linux
- 2 - 4 years of experience with OpenShift
- 1 - 2 years of experience with Ansible
- Demonstrated expertise administering Red Hat OpenShift clusters
- Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers
- Proficiency provisioning virtual machine and containerized workloads
- Working knowledge of managing OpenShift operators
- Experience overseeing security, patching, and upgrade cycles
- Strong scripting abilities
- Meticulous technical documentation practices
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
- Preferred Skills
- 1 - 2 years of experience with Networking
- Familiarity with data storage
- Preferred experience managing storage, specifically NFS solutions on NetApp platforms
- Job Duties & Functions
- Maintain Linux-based infrastructure supporting mission-critical applications.
- Install Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers.
- Configure server environments to support operational requirements.
- Troubleshoot Red Hat Enterprise Linux server issues.
- Administer Red Hat OpenShift clusters.
- Provision virtual machine and containerized workloads within OpenShift environments.
- Manage OpenShift operators.
- Oversee security activities for OpenShift clusters.
- Coordinate patching and upgrade cycles.
- Apply scripting capabilities to system administration activities.
- Support networking requirements associated with Linux infrastructure.
- Document system administration activities and technical information.
