Software Engineer

Job Description

Plans, develops, tests, debugs, and documents software solutions using C++ and Unreal Engine technology to address business and mission requirements. Applies software development standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle while analyzing system capabilities, resolving program errors, and documenting software development activities. Supports software solutions that address programming requirements, data acquisition, programming techniques, controls, and applicable software standards.

• Education & Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree with 4 - 8 years of experience or Master’s degree with 2 - 6 years of experience
• Demonstrated 4 - 6 years of experience with Unreal Engine Development
• Advanced proficiency in C++ programming with 4 - 6 years of experience
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

• Job Duties & Functions
• Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities involving design, development, documentation, testing, and debugging.
• Develop software containing logical and mathematical solutions to business and mission problems using computer programming languages.
• Apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the software development life cycle.
• Utilize knowledge of computer hardware, software, subject matter, information processing techniques, and system-user requirements to develop business and mission applications.
• Leverage Unreal Engine technology and C++ programming to design, develop, and implement software solutions.
• Correct program errors and resolve issues affecting software functionality.
• Prepare operating instructions and compile documentation associated with program development.
• Analyze system capabilities to resolve questions involving program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
• Ensure software development activities meet applicable software standards.
