Job Description

Perform electronic or electro-mechanical assembly tasks supporting production, developmental, prototype, manufacturing engineering, or preproduction operations where documentation and guidance may be limited. Complete modifications, rework, and quality testing while working with development and manufacturing engineering personnel. Utilize microscopes and precision hand-eye coordination to assemble miniature components and devices.

    • Education & Job Requirements
    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
    • Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
    • Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
    • 3+ years of experience in SMT (Surface Mount Technology), rework, repair, assembly, PCB rework, PCB assembly, medical device assembly, jewelry making, or watch repair
    • Experience using a microscope to assemble components
    • Demonstrated visual acuity when working with microscopes
    • Proficiency working with miniature precision devices and components
    • Precise hand-eye coordination
    • Technical and detailed approach to work
    • Ability to adapt to changing part conditions
    • Capacity to adapt to various detailed part inconsistencies
    • Preferred Skills
    • Experience working in an ISO/clean room environment
    • Proficiency using a microscope to assemble miniature parts into assemblies
    • IPC J-STD-001 solder certification
    • Job Duties & Functions
    • Perform electronic or electro-mechanical assembly tasks in support of specific production units, developmental or prototype requirements, product development, manufacturing engineering, or preproduction operations
    • Execute assembly work where documentation and guidance may be limited
    • Complete modifications and rework of components and assemblies
    • Conduct quality testing as required
    • Collaborate with development and manufacturing engineering personnel
