Job Description

Perform setup, documentation, and testing activities for accelerometers, including rate table and vibration testing from initial preparation through final customer validation. Maintain test records, troubleshoot test-related issues, coordinate testing strategies with engineering and production personnel, and prepare products and documentation for final inspection and customer delivery.

    • Education & Job Requirements
    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
    • 3 years of experience in test technician work
    • Previous test experience or equivalent education
    • 1-2 years of experience with hardware testing
    • Must be a U.S. Citizen
    • Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
    • Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
    • Preferred Skills
    • IPC J-STD-001 certification
    • Technical degree in an electronics-related curriculum
    • Work experience in production, test, or related fields
    • Electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting experience
    • Proficiency with MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and Access
    • Knowledge of Electrostatic Discharge and ESD mitigation principles
    • Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues using a standard digital multimeter (DMM)
    • Demonstrated initiative and accountability in a team environment
    • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
    • Job Duties & Functions
    • Prepare documentation required for test preparation and maintain detailed daily process logs for all tests, faults, and anomalies.
    • Perform setup fixture activities necessary for accelerometer testing.
    • Initiate and maintain specific test operations from start to completion.
    • Conduct rate table and vibration-related testing.
    • Perform final product testing on customer equipment as the final validation before delivery.
    • Collaborate with the electrical engineer and production manager on testing strategies, troubleshooting, and planning.
    • Finalize products by performing activities such as disassembly from test fixtures and cleaning.
    • Prepare products for final inspection by gathering and validating paperwork and database routing before customer delivery.
    • Perform other production-related tasks during testing periods when observation is not required.
