Job Description
Perform detailed hardware and software design, updates, integration, and verification support for test sets used to test the PAC-3/MSE missile and its subsystems. Develop and support test documentation, test equipment interfaces, design reviews, and technical solutions while coordinating with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure test systems meet requirements and applicable Enterprise standards. Communicate progress and significant issues to technical and program stakeholders and support activities at production, supplier, and customer facilities as required.

- Education & Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related degree
- 6+ years of experience with electrical troubleshooting
- 4-6 years of experience with test equipment design
- 6+ years of experience with troubleshooting
- 4-6 years of experience with LabVIEW and LabVIEW programming at an intermediate level
- 1-2 years of experience with requirements development
- 2-4 years of experience with validation test plans
- Demonstrated skills in troubleshooting analog and digital electronics
- Familiarity with test software design and proficiency with software debugging in support of troubleshooting
- Skilled in Root Cause and Corrective Action
- Experience with test equipment including oscilloscopes, power supplies, DMMs, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and AC/DC power distribution systems
- Knowledge of hardware and software configuration management processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Visio, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint
- Experience with Test Equipment Interface Test Adapter (ITA) and cable design
- LabVIEW/TestStand experience
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
- Job Duties & Functions
- Perform detailed hardware and software design, updates, and integration/verification support for new and existing test sets.
- Develop flow charts, block diagrams, schematics, and interface control documents.
- Support the writing of test requirements, test description documents, operating instructions, and installation procedures.
- Participate in Peer Reviews, Design Assurance Reviews, and Pre/Post Verification Readiness Reviews.
- Provide technical solutions to difficult problems that are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives.
- Execute assigned tasks in accordance with the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and constraints defined by the Test System Technical Lead.
- Communicate timely and frequent updates regarding progress and significant issues to the Test System Technical Lead and other Program and Functional Stakeholders.
- Coordinate with Test System Technical Lead, Systems Engineering SME, Unit Under Test SME, Group Technical Staff, and Functional Design Assurance SME to support test system design alignment with Enterprise standards and requirements.
- Travel occasionally to production facilities, supplier facilities, and customer facilities.
