Systems Integration-Testing Engineer

Job Description

Plan, implement, test, document, and maintain solutions for the integration and testing of in-house developed and COTS/GOTS components, elements, subsystems, and systems. Develop system test solutions from customer contractual needs and requirements while addressing technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Coordinate comprehensive system and subsystem testing, analyze test results, and perform integration regression testing to verify and validate system performance and incorporated fixes.

• Education & Job Requirements
• 2+ years of experience troubleshooting electrical systems involving cables and/or circuit cards using electrical instruments such as multimeters and oscilloscopes
• 2+ years of experience integrating and verifying test equipment
• 2+ years of experience developing or updating software/code in coding languages typically used in testing environments, especially NI TestStand or LabVIEW
• 2+ years of experience reading, writing, and developing wiring diagrams, equipment drawings, test requirements, and/or test procedures
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals

• Implement integration and testing solutions while addressing technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
• Test integrated components, elements, subsystems, and systems.
• Document integration and testing solutions, activities, and results.
• Maintain solutions supporting system and subsystem integration and testing.
• Synthesize customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions.
• Establish functional and technical specifications and standards.
• Solve hardware and software interface problems.
• Define input and output parameters and ensure integration of the entire system or subsystem.
• Review and evaluate requirements for testability.
• Derive requirements necessary to support system and subsystem testing.
• Develop comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules.
• Direct preparation and execution of comprehensive system and subsystem test plans and procedures.
• Coordinate subsystem and system testing activities with programs and other organizations.
• Analyze test results and prepare comprehensive subsystem and system-level evaluation reports.
• Verify and validate system performance through test-result analysis.
• Write discrepancy reports.
• Perform integration regression testing to verify and validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems, and systems.
