Job Description

Design and develop electrical and electromechanical test systems and multifunction integrated test equipment supporting flight hardware. Lead design, procurement, assembly, test, and verification activities while developing hardware requirements and technical documentation and supporting failure review activities.

    • Education & Job Requirements
    • 3+ years of professional experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
    • Hardware development experience
    • Strong technical background with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) or other similar systems
    • Interconnect design experience
    • Proficiency with one or more of the following: Creo, Windchill, Zuken, PSpice (PLM Systems)
    • Product life cycle experience, including development, deployment, and retirement
    • Issue tracking experience
    • Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
    • Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
    • Preferred Skills
    • 2 - 4 years of experience with Wiring Harness Design, Electrical Testing, and Electronic Component Testing
    • Capability to lead a team responsible for development and testing of integrated test systems, with experience as a Subject Matter Engineer or equivalent
    • Telemetry Data Processing (TDP) experience
    • RF experience
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate with small diverse teams in development of technical products
    • Schematic diagram and other technical documentation interpretation experience
    • System-level troubleshooting experience
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Proficiency in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice
    • Job Duties & Functions
    • Participate in requirements analysis, configuration determination, design, alterations, material procurement, manufacturing, test, and acceptance for electrical and electromechanical test systems and multifunction integrated test equipment
    • Mentor junior engineers and interface extensively with customers and senior leadership
    • Create and update project and process documentation aligned with project requirements
    • Lead the design, procurement, assembly, test, and verification of automated test systems, including data review and trending
    • Develop hardware requirements from subsystem to locally assigned support equipment test systems
    • Interface with suppliers, customers, and internal design teams to provide cost-effective and low-risk solutions
    • Develop test system design documentation to communicate proposed designs to internal design and business teams, vendors, and customers
    • Support Failure Review Board activities through closure
