Job Description
Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities involving logical and mathematical solutions for business and mission applications. Design, develop, document, test, debug, and maintain software while applying established standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.

- Education & Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience in automated test equipment software design
- Experience with product-lifecycle management, including Design, Development, and Deployment, and/or issue-tracking systems
- Fundamental understanding of Python scripting language
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
- Preferred Skills
- 2 - 4 years of experience with Software Development and software engineering
- 1 - 2 years of experience with Electrical Testing and Process Automation experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education
- Demonstrated experience with software design and development and software integration on hardware test systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience troubleshooting interactions between software and hardware, including network devices and laboratory instrumentation
- Experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and test-software development using LabVIEW, C/C++, or Python
- Prior experience with Electrical Ground Support Equipment or communications systems for aerospace/defense
- Familiarity with Atlassian Products development processes

- Plan software development activities
- Conduct software development activities involving logical and mathematical solutions for business and mission applications
- Coordinate development efforts and apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle
- Design and develop software using computer languages for data processing equipment
- Document and test software solutions
- Debug software and correct program errors
- Prepare operating instructions and compile software development documentation
- Analyze system capabilities to resolve questions involving program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls
- Support the EGSE Organization as a software engineer
- Support modernization efforts focused on efficiency, security, automation, and scalability
- Collaborate with software, systems, electrical, and test engineers using the Agile Development methodology
- Coordinate with the product line manager and directorates to support organizational needs
