Job Description
Design, implement, and verify GN&C algorithms while developing high-fidelity simulations, flight software, and analysis tools for spacecraft, re-entry vehicles, hypersonic platforms, and other airborne systems. Support mission design, guidance and autonomy development, systems integration, and flight-test activities across atmospheric and space environments.

- Education & Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology including Manufacturing Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a directly related non-U.S. equivalent
- 9+ years of related work experience
- Engineering experience with aircraft, missile, spacecraft, autonomous platforms, or similar vehicles
- Proficiency with MATLAB and Simulink
- Demonstrated proficiency developing GN&C algorithms, models, and simulations
- ABET accreditation is preferred but not required
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
- Preferred Skills
- Degree in aerospace or aeronautical engineering at the BS, MS, or PhD level
- 10+ years of related technical experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Spacecraft operations, space environment effects, or hypersonic re-entry GN&C
- State estimation and sensor fusion, including Kalman filters, GPS/INS, or air data systems
- Background in classical and modern control theory and nonlinear control design
- Model-based development and flight-test support
- Prior work on space or hypersonic programs
- Algorithms development
- Programming with C/C++
- Simulation and modeling
- Effective performance in broad, minimally defined design spaces with clear communication of technical results
- Job Duties & Functions
- Design, implement, and verify guidance, navigation, and control algorithms for spacecraft, re-entry vehicles, and hypersonic or airborne platforms
- Develop and maintain 6 DOF dynamics simulations and associated analysis tools for mission and performance assessment
- Implement and validate GN&C flight software using MATLAB/Simulink models and C/C++ prototypes
- Integrate flight software with testbeds and avionics
- Apply astrodynamics and flight mechanics to mission design, novel orbit concepts, and trajectory optimization
- Apply aerodynamics, atmospheric flight mechanics, and controls knowledge to re-entry guidance, navigation, and flight control functions
- Develop powered and unpowered guidance laws and autonomy tools for on-orbit and atmospheric operations
- Support troubleshooting of operational anomalies, functional tests, and service incidents
- Produce concepts of operations, simulation artifacts, and test procedures to enable rapid prototype-to-flight-test iteration
- Collaborate with systems engineering, avionics, test, and business development teams while communicating technical tradeoffs to stakeholders
- Identify inefficiencies, propose solutions, and implement reusable tools and automations

- Domestic travel required, possible up to 5%
- International travel is not required
