Machine Operator

Job Description

Operate light-duty machine tools and equipment, complete machine setup and adjustments, maintain equipment, inspect work using prescribed measurement devices, and monitor quality according to established control procedures.

• Weekend Shift, Thursday - Sunday, 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• $18.00 - $20.00 Hourly

• Education & Job Requirements
• 1 - 2 years of experience with attention to detail, communication skills, and basic computer skills
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals

• Preferred Skills
• 1 - 2 years of experience with SAP
• 1 - 2 years of experience with visual acuity in working with microscopes

• Job Duties & Functions
• Operate light-duty bench- or floor-type machine tools and equipment, including small lathes, power mills, extruding machines, drills, punch presses, power brakes, shears, and saws
• Set up machining machines and make adjustments as needed
• Maintain machines and equipment
• Check completed work using prescribed gauges, jigs, and fixtures to measure close tolerances
• Operate numerically controlled machines when applicable
• Monitor and verify quality according to statistical process or other control procedures
