Job Description
Develop, modify, test, and document embedded software environment requirements supporting military upgrade development programs. Apply engineering principles across requirements analysis, software design, development, implementation, integration, testing, and evaluation within avionics systems. Support integration projects, coordinate across functional disciplines, and identify design improvements that enhance integrated weapon system capabilities.

- Education & Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of static and dynamic software test tools
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle, including breaking system requirements into software requirements and associated tests
- Working knowledge of multiple software development languages
- PC proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively across multiple organizations
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with customers, internal and external suppliers, and other teams
- Ability to work effectively within a team with strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
- Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of PC Lint, LDRA TestBed, and VectorCast
- Knowledge of DOORS with ability to link requirements to test procedures
- Knowledge of C, C++, and C
- Familiarity with military aerospace design and certification processes, including requirements development and verification, preliminary design, and detailed design
- Job Duties & Functions
- Apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, and evaluate embedded software in avionics systems
- Plan, support, and manage integration projects to meet customer requirements
- Work closely with other functional disciplines to ensure compliance with critical performance parameters
- Suggest design improvements and spiral opportunities to improve current integrated weapon system capabilities
- Develop, modify, test, and document embedded software environment requirements for military upgrade development programs
