Machine Operator

Job Description

Operate light-duty bench- and floor-type machine tools and equipment, including small lathes, power mills, extruding machines, drills, punch presses, power brakes, shears, and saws. Set up and adjust machinery, conduct machine maintenance, inspect completed work using prescribed gauges and fixtures, and monitor quality in accordance with established control procedures.

• 2nd Weekend Shift, Thursday - Sunday, 3:00 PM - 1:30 AM EST
• $20.00 - $21.00 Hourly OT40

• Education & Job Requirements
• 1 - 2 years of experience with attention to detail, communication skills, and basic computer skills
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals

• Preferred Skills
• 1 - 2 years of experience with SAP
• 1 - 2 years of experience with visual acuity in working with microscopes

• Job Duties & Functions

• Set up machining machines and make adjustments as required
• Maintain machines as needed
• Check work using prescribed gauges, jigs, and fixtures to measure close tolerances
• Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures
