Job Description

Sets up and operates CNC milling machines while interpreting technical documentation, selecting appropriate tooling and fixtures, monitoring machining operations, and conducting quality inspections. Responsibilities include routine CNC equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, production documentation, and collaboration with engineering and production teams to optimize processes.

• Education & Job Requirements
• 5+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist, operating CNC machines, including milling and turning, and G-code programming and CNC controls
• Strong computing skills
• Excellent communication skills and customer-oriented approach
• Ability to work a variable shift, including 1st or 2nd shift
• Education/experience typically acquired through a High School Diploma or GED equivalent and 1 or more years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals

• Preferred Skills
• Experience with CAD/CAM/CATIA software
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Job Duties & Functions
• Sets up and operates CNC milling machines
• Reads and interprets blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
• Selects and installs appropriate tooling and fixtures
• Monitors machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
• Performs routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment
• Conducts quality inspections using precision measuring instruments
• Collaborates with engineering and production teams to optimize processes
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment
• Documents production data and maintains accurate records
• Maintains regular and predictable attendance

• Physical Requirements & Environment
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination working with small parts
