Design & Analysis Engineer 4

Job Description

Lead and coordinate the development of complex electronic and electrical system requirements, system architectures, hardware and software designs, and interface specifications. Support design validation, supplier integration, fielded hardware and software support, technology research, and recommendations for technology investments across the product lifecycle.

• Education & Job Requirements
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aeronautical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry with 9 or more years of experience, Master's degree with 7 or more years of experience, or PhD with 4 or more years of experience
• Experience in RF/Digital engineering
• RF Test Equipment
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals

• Preferred Skills
• 10 or more years of experience in RF/Microwave engineering
• Experience with digital circuit design
• Knowledge of FPGAs/ASICs
• System engineering experience
• Master of Science in Engineering
• Prior aerospace experience

• Job Duties & Functions
• Lead work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements
• Oversee the design and build of multiple satellite and avionics units
• Coordinate requirements analysis and translation into system architecture, hardware and software designs, and interface specifications
• Test and validate system designs to ensure operational and functional requirements are met
• Oversee the team monitoring supplier performance for system integration and compliance with requirements
• Resolve problems concerning fielded hardware and software throughout the product lifecycle
• Research technology advances for potential application to business needs
• Make recommendations for technology investments
