Design Engineer

Job Description

Support Air Dominance production programs as a Mechanical Review Board Design Engineer by identifying and resolving production issues, defects, and failures. Participate in Material Review Board activities, evaluate non-conforming hardware for performance impacts, identify root causes, coordinate corrective actions, and work with cross-functional teams to implement viable solutions.

• Education & Job Requirements
• 4 - 6 years of experience with the ability to Read Engineering Drawings
• 4 - 6 years of experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• 2 - 4 years of experience with Failure Analysis
• 4+ years of experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing in accordance with ASME Y14.5 and tolerance analysis
• 2+ years of experience with Creo design software
• 4+ years of experience with root cause and corrective action
• 4+ years of experience reading engineering drawings, documents, parts lists, and specifications
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in an engineering-related field
• Lead investigative efforts and report status to interdisciplinary teams

• Preferred Skills
• 2 - 4 years of experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD)

• Participate as a key member of the Material Review Board process
• Review non-conforming hardware for performance impacts
• Identify appropriate root causes
• Coordinate corrective actions to prevent recurrence
• Coordinate efforts within the Mechanical, Quality, and Manufacturing teams
• Support weekly meetings to review status with leadership
• Develop and implement viable solutions to production issues, defects, and failures
• Lead investigative efforts
• Report status to interdisciplinary teams
