Job Description
Build cable and harness assemblies according to wiring diagrams, form boards, drawings, and schematics while performing soldering, crimping, connector assembly, and backshell torquing to Class 3 IPC standards. Perform repetitive and non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies, including cables, boards, panels, drawers, frames, modules, and related components.

- Education & Job Requirements
- 1 - 2 years of experience with Blueprint Reading
- 1 - 2 years of experience with Cable Harness
- 1 - 2 years of experience with IPC-WHMA-A-620
- 1 - 2 years of experience with Wireharness Print Reading
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
- Build cable and harness assemblies according to wiring diagrams, form boards, and schematics
- Perform soldering and crimping operations
- Plug contacts into connectors
- Torque backshells
- Work to Class 3 IPC standards
- Preferred Skills
- 1-3 years of Manufacturing Assembly Experience
- Completed WHMA-A-620 training or a current WHMA-A-620 Certification with demonstrated Class 3 workmanship
- J-STD-001 Certification

- Job Duties & Functions
- Build cable and harness assemblies according to wiring diagrams and form boards.
- Perform a variety of repetitive and non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
- Work from diagrams and drawings to complete assembly operations.
- Make initial layouts using provided specifications.
- Operate hand and power tools, jigs, and saws.
- Conduct continuity checks on work in process and completed assemblies.
- Perform quality inspections on the processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
- Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
