Job Description

Perform circuit design and electrical schematic capture for advanced avionics hardware while supporting PCB layout activities, electrical analysis, and product development. Execute design verification, resolve test anomalies, support system-level testing, and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the aerospace hardware development lifecycle. Develop technical documentation and present engineering results to internal teams and customers.

    • Education & Job Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
    • 3+ years of professional experience
    • 4 - 6 years of experience with Schematic Development
    • 4 - 6 years of experience with Systems Analysis & Design Skills
    • 1 - 2 years of experience with Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
    • 1 - 2 years of experience with Circuit Failure Mode Analysis
    • Demonstrated experience supporting the technical evaluation of design and requirements verification
    • Experience throughout multiple phases of the aerospace hardware development cycle
    • Ability to interact effectively with peers, management, and government customers
    • Demonstrated written communication and presentation skills
    • Experience with missile design
    • Experience in digital circuit design at the card and board schematic level with analysis
    • Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
    • Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
    • Preferred Skills
    • 1 - 2 years of experience with Failure Analysis
    • 1 - 2 years of experience with Simulation
    • Experience with a combination of design, test, operations, and systems engineering disciplines
    • Experience using Xpedition or similar schematic capture tools
    • Experience using PSPICE, Saber, or other electronic simulation tools
    • Experience performing electronics analysis including Worst Case Analysis, Electrical Parts Stress Analysis, and Failure Modes and Effects Critical Analysis
    • Experience performing failure investigations on electronic hardware at the CCA, unit, and system levels
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical issues to peers, management, subcontractors, and customers
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment while building consensus
    • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
    • Adaptable to new situations and able to demonstrate self-initiative in solving complex problems
    • Ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment
    • Job Duties & Functions
    • Design and capture electrical schematics while guiding PCB board layouts
    • Perform Electrical Worst Case Analysis and Electrical Parts Stress Analysis
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams during the development and integration of avionics systems
    • Resolve test anomalies through troubleshooting activities
    • Generate, review, and present product certification documentation
    • Support system-level testing activities
    • Participate in design verification and technical evaluation efforts
