Material Handler

Job Description

Load, unload, receive, store, and transport materials within a production or warehouse environment while supporting shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material replenishment activities. Perform material handling tasks using hand tools, carts, hand trucks, handheld scanners, and Windows tablets to accurately process inventory, organize bench stock locations, and maintain material availability. Support daily operations by ensuring materials are properly counted, recorded, and distributed while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency standards.

• 1st Shift, Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
• Must be a U.S. Citizen

• Education & Job Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• 2–4 years of experience with oral and written communication skills
• 2–4 years of experience using Microsoft Suite
• Experience loading, unloading, sorting, and moving materials within a warehouse, manufacturing, or production environment
• Ability to count, weigh, and accurately record material information
• Experience using handheld scanners, Windows tablets, or similar inventory management devices
• Ability to perform inventory transactions and replenish material stock locations
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply work instructions, inventory documentation, shipping records, or material handling procedures

• Job Duties & Functions
• Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, conveyors, and machines by hand
• Open containers using hand tools while counting, weighing, and recording material information
• Sort and place materials into designated Bench Stock Locations (BSL)
• Perform inventory transactions using a Windows tablet
• Transport materials using carts, hand trucks, or other approved material handling equipment
• Stack and assemble materials for storage or distribution
• Order materials for bin replenishment using a handheld tablet and scanner
• Support shipping and receiving operations as assigned
• Maintain accurate inventory records while following established material handling procedures

• Physical Requirements & Environment
• Stand and walk for the majority of the workday
• Perform labor-intensive material handling activities throughout the shift
• Move materials throughout the warehouse or worksite using approved material handling equipment
