Job Description

Perform engineering support for production operations and supplier builds by investigating manufacturing issues, functional test failures, and fleet-related anomalies. Analyze system architectures, requirements, and designs to determine root causes, implement corrective actions, and support verification activities that restore production flow and continued operational safety. Coordinate technical efforts across manufacturing, suppliers, customers, and regulatory organizations while supporting certification and system reliability.

    • Education & Job Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Data Science, or Computer Science from an accredited course of study
    • 5+ years of experience in an aerospace or similar regulated industry environment
    • 1+ years of experience with CATIA or similar 3D modeling CAD tools
    • Knowledge of Control Systems
    • Knowledge of Flight Controls
    • Education and experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry
    • Typically 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of advanced education and related experience
    • ABET accreditation preferred but not required for U.S. candidates
    • Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
    • Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
    • Preferred Skills
    • Experience troubleshooting and resolving factory or build issues while implementing corrective design changes
    • Experience with flight control systems and components
    • Background in part design, system architecture analysis, and design-to-cost or manufacturability practices
    • Hands-on experience supporting manufacturing, functional or acceptance test rigs, and iron bird test environments
    • Experience working directly with airline customers and regulatory agencies to resolve in-service issues
    • Experience using ETAC, Azure DevOps, Jira, PLM systems, or similar manufacturing support and defect tracking tools
    • Job Duties & Functions
    • Troubleshoot production issues on assembly lines and supplier facilities while defining corrective actions and design improvements
    • Investigate in-service anomalies and incidents by performing root cause analysis and developing mitigation plans
    • Review system architecture, requirements, and design documentation to evaluate impacts and proposed engineering solutions
    • Lead system and component testing using iron bird, laboratory, and production test environments while documenting results
    • Develop technical documentation supporting certification, system safety analyses, FMEA, fault trees, and requirements traceability
    • Coordinate with manufacturing, avionics, supplier management, flight operations, safety, and regulatory organizations to deliver compliant engineering solutions
    • Mentor production teams and suppliers regarding design intent, installation practices, and troubleshooting techniques
